Electronic control technology does not appear for new energy vehicles. In traditional fuel vehicles, electronic control system (ECU) is also important. It is directly responsible for the signal reception, analysis and command judgment of vehicles.When this technology is applied to new energy automobiles, the responsibility of the whole vehicle electronic control system will be more complex, and the so-called electrified architecture has become a core technology means of a vehicle enterprise because of the increase of electronic control system modules.
 
As the general console of the whole vehicle, efficient, stable and improving the comprehensive performance of the vehicle are the important responsibilities of the electronic control system in new energy vehicles.Compared to conventional fuel vehicles, the car has added battery packs, drive motors, gearboxes (decelerators), kinetic energy recovery systems and so on after turning to electrification, and the electronic control system assumes more responsibilities if combined with automatic driving and program-adding systems.So the "single electronic controller" used in traditional fuel vehicles has now become the "vehicle central electronic controller". The name also shows the importance of electronic control for new energy vehicles.
 
If the motor and battery technology determine the hardware value of an electric vehicle, then the electronic control directly determines the software processing capacity of the vehicle, and will also help the motor and battery to make the most of their hardware potential.I think one word can be used to describe the importance of electronic control: if a good new energy car does not all come from the quality of electronic control, then the original crime of a bad new energy car may be due to electronic control.
 
At present, a new energy vehicle which is not in a good state should include poor endurance, low maximum speed, slow response of the drive system, and so on, and any of these conditions has an inevitable connection with the electronic control system.In the case of renewal, when we blame all the problems on the quality and capacity of vehicle batteries, we often ignore the important role played by electronic control.
 
The electronic control system on new energy automobiles will be subdivided into several subsystems, including motor control unit, battery control unit, kinetic energy recovery system, high and low voltage conversion system of the whole vehicle, and so on.At present, new energy vehicles in the market are divided into plug-in hybrid power, pure electric power and fuel cell system. The three types of vehicles belong to the common core technology in battery and motor, while the electronic control system will be different because of the different driving modes, of course, the subsystems included in them are also different.
 
The central controller, which controls the speed and torque of the motor, will also control the battery discharge rate, the efficiency of high-voltage to high-voltage conversion of the whole vehicle. It not only controls energy consumption, but also takes into account performance, and satisfies the high dynamic vehicle response frequency, but also protects the safety of the battery and the motor.The electronic control system is just like the "mother" of a new energy car. It considers vehicles everywhere, and of course is responsible everywhere.
 
At present, the motor and electronic system are much less valued by new energy automotive enterprises than batteries. In recent years, the growth of new energy automobiles has also focused on the battery field.From the policy support point of view, it can also be seen that the emphasis on vehicle battery density and capacity is always the primary key, but there are no mandatory technical requirements on the electrical and electronic level.
