Not long ago, Haikou issued the "Guidelines for Students to Wear Masks in Haikou". At present, Haikou is regarded as a low-risk area. At the backdrop of the epidemic, the Haikou COVID-19 Prevention and Control Headquarters specially formulated these guidelines for guiding students to wear masks properly in order to protect their health and effectively prevent and control the epidemic.
1.Occasions you do not need a mask
(1) When you are alone.
(2) At empty places without people gathering.
(3) At schools if the distance between students in class is more than 1 meter.
(4) At schools in remote towns where no confirmed cases or asymptomatic infections have been reported, students can decide if they want to wear masks or not. The schools should take strict check measures over arrivals from other cities and countries.
2.Occasions you need a mask
(1) Teachers should wear masks when giving class.
(2) For classrooms and other crowded places swarmed with students, students can always take spare masks with them and wear masks when making close contact with others (less than or equal to 1 meter)
(3) For those who have cold symptoms such as fever, coughing or sneezing, they should wear masks when they go to medical institutions or visiting patients.
(4) Wear masks when you are on public transportation and in crowded public places with heavy flow (such as large shopping malls, farmers' markets, airports, stations, docks, etc.).
(5) Wear masks if your family members are discharged personnel or are in quarantine at the houses you are living in.
3. Precautions for wearing masks.
(1) Wash your hands before wearing a mask and after removing it.
(2) Don’t wear your mask upside-down or inside out. You should cover the nose, and adjust the nose clip to fit the face when wearing them.
(3) Don’t touch the inside and outside of the mask with your hands when wearing. You should remove the mask by two ends of the cord.
(4) There is no evidence to prove that the masks can be useful after cleaning and disinfection.
(5) Disposable medical masks and surgical masks can only be used for less than 8 hours.
