Noise Control for Vehicle HVAC Systems 2022-11-24

The structure of a vehicle HVAC system directly affects the level of noise it produces. With the continuous development of the automobile market, customers have higher and higher requirements for noise. The current market HVAC noise in the whole vehicle is controlled at 62 decibels To 66 decibels, and the future development trend is to control the noise level at 55 decibels by 2012, and to ensure that the noise level of the HVAC unit is equivalent to that of the loaded state.

A reasonable design can reduce the noise level or avoid the generation of noise. In order to reduce the noise, the following design elements need to be followed:
1. Design the air intake in the engine compartment
2. Set the filter at the air inlet
3. Set the recirculation air intake inside the car firewall
4. Place the blower on the side of the car, not in the middle, to avoid resonance with the cockpit. Place an anti-noise cover on the recirculation air intake
5. The heat exchanger cannot be directly exposed to the air outlet
